Jackfruit trees are sensitive to frost and like a lot of water. They flourish in a good loam soil but drainage is important so planted on a slope or where there is plenty of rocks in the soil. They need a high rainfall or lots of watering but if kept to wet the tree could die or won't bear fruit properly.
