The Cassava is a root vegetable that grows a tuber at it's base which is cooked like potato.
It has a nutty flavour and is high in starch.It can be cooked in many ways just like any root vegetable and is often made into Breads , Chips , Mashed and can also be made into Tapioca for use in deserts.It is extremely hardy and can tolerate very dry or very conditions and will also grow in the worst types of soil.It will do better in warmer climates than cold climates.For this reason it is a staple in many part of the world as it can be grown almost anywhere there is warm weather.

The Cassava does well in warmer sub tropical and tropical climates.It can be grown in all types of soil and can tolerate drought as well as wet humid climates.It is super tough and hardy and doesn't need any attention or effort for it to grow well.Just plant it and it will start to spread out into a shrub and can be harvested after 1 year in the ground.
